On the afternoon of the fourteenth day of the first month of the Lunar New Year, 10th February, at the Lecture Hall, Anqing Foreign Language School’s 2017 New Year’s Gathering Will was joyously inaugurated with all the teaching& administrative staff happily gathering together and festively sing& dancing to celebrate the Spring Festival and welcome the new semester.
Initially at the Gathering Will, Anqing Foreign Language School’s President Madam Huang Wenli issued the medal and certificate to teacher Li Ping who won the May 1st Labor Medal in Anqing City. Meanwhile, school leaders bestowed the certificates of honor to ten people who moved Anqing Foreign Language School appraised and elected in 2016.
Afterwards, union groups presented splendid performances such as songs, poetry recitation, dance, talk shows, living band and so on. The festive gala was unusually brilliant, especially the Lucky Draw program which brought about delight and acclaim. Therefore, the Gathering Will was featured with melodious songs, graceful dancing,merry laughter and cheerful voices, which was really bustling.
To be specific, administrative leaders Xu Xuchang, Yan Hongping, Qian Zhihong and Xu Degao ’s program ‘Free Talk’ made the audience burst into hearty laughter. The instrumental music recitation ‘Qinyuanchun-Snow’ performed by teachers Xu Huangjia, Liu Xiaozhang& He Fangshun was solemn and magnificent, revealing that teachers were striving and stayed true to their initial determination.
Other highlights included dance ‘Hey Up’ by Zhang Yan, Zhang Hui, Zhan Ying& Jia Dongyue from the Junior High Department, dance ‘A Lucky Year of Rooster’ by Yan Huihui, Dai Yan, Wang Manli& Song Ning also from the Junior High Section as well as dance ‘Love’ by Wang Yumeng, Chen Zhihang, Qian Zhuoru& Dong Cuiping with the Administration& Logistic Departments, which all showcased the ardent love towards art and life from all staff in Anqing Foreign Language.
In the meantime, our faculty’s versatility was also manifested by the song ‘Riding a White Horse’ by Bao Yuqi from the Junior High Division, chorus ‘Your Eyes’ by Li Ji& Qian Jun from the Primary Department, playing& singing ‘I Want You’ by Zhang Hui, Pan Ziqiang with the Junior and Senior High Sections respectively, song medley by Zhang Yan& Jia Dongyue with the Junior High Division in addition to a special song mix by Wang Qing’an& Yu Feng with the Senior High Section.
Moreover, each and every one of the audience was touched by the song& dance ‘Shakt it’ by Zhang Xueting from the Junior High Department and the instrumental ensemble ‘My Motherland, Fair As Before’ by Liu Yao and other teachers. Furthermore, healthy life and vital force were initiated and unfolded before everyone’s eyes with the performance ‘Chinese Martial Arts’ by Huang Wenbin, Ding Qi, Zhu Xi& Jiang Chao from the Senior High Department as well as the talk show ‘Backpacker’ by Fang Tao and Pan Ziqiang. The Gathering Will concluded perfectly with the dynamic dance ‘Proceed to Happiness’ by Cao Tong, Yu Minxu, Zhang Meng& Tang Yanting with the Primary Section.
In summary, each department in Anqing Foreign Language School made meticulous preparation and detailed arrangement for the 2017 Lunar New Year’s Gathering Will, which combined dining together, commendation, performance and celebration to demonstrate the dedication and unity of all the teaching& administrative staff so that they would greet 2017 in high spirits in a pleasant and warm atmosphere to compose a new chapter!
